We are committed to providing professional and personalized service, and partner closely with many of Maine’s leading lending institutions, and commercial and residential real estate brokers. Our experienced team ensures each transaction is handled with meticulous and thorough care.

Founded in Portland, Maine, in 2001 by Sue Knedler, Bay Area Title quickly established itself as one of the state’s most professional and reputable title companies. The company expanded its operations by opening an office in Augusta, further extending its reach. Our team is composed of approachable and kind professionals dedicated to delivering outstanding service.

In 2020, Kevin Gerspach, Esq. joined Bay Area Title, bringing valuable expertise and vision. By 2023, he took ownership of the company with a steadfast commitment to maintaining the core values and high level of customer service that our clients and partners have come to trust. In 2024, we strategically relocated our central Maine office from Augusta to Waterville, enabling us to further meet the varied needs of clients across the entire state of Maine.
